Dr Jacques Rabie is the Mathematics Innovation Manager at the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) South Africa. He completed his PhD at the University of Stellenbosch, and a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Cape Town, before joining AIMS South Africa in his current role in January 2025. His primary research interests is in the algebra and incidence geometry of near-vector spaces and applications relating to these structures. Additionally, he has interest in applications of algebra in areas such as algebraic systems biology and graph theory. He has taught courses on algebra and mathematical problem solving at AIMS South Africa.
