Morongwa Ralafeta is passionate about using mathematics to turn complex problems into practical solutions.

Morongwa Ralafeta discovered early on that her curious, creative, and analytical nature drew her naturally to mathematics, particularly to the challenge of using mathematical modelling to solve real-world problems. She has a strong interest in breaking down complex concepts into clear, actionable insights and applying mathematical tools to address pressing global challenges.

Her academic journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematical Sciences, majoring in Mathematics and Computer Science. She later completed both an Honours and a Master’s degree in Mathematical Sciences. During her Honours studies, she conducted research on fixed point theorems, gradient descent optimisation, and dynamical systems, completing her project with distinction.

Through her academic work, Morongwa developed a deep appreciation for how mathematical methods can be applied to real-world issues such as climate change, disease modelling, and financial risk analysis. Her research experience strengthened her interest in using mathematics as a practical tool for understanding and addressing complex systems.

She is now seeking opportunities in both academia and industry where she can further develop her expertise, contribute to solving complex problems, and help make mathematics more accessible and impactful for others.
