Academic Research
AIMS graduates contribute to university faculties and research centres across Africa and internationally. Alumni are lecturing at universities including Wits, North-West University, and Stellenbosch, and pursuing PhDs at institutions spanning the UK, Europe, and the United States. Notable example: Ludovic Tangpi (AIMS 2010) is now an Assistant Professor at Princeton University and recipient of the AMS Claytor-Gilmer Fellowship.
Industry & Data Science
Through the Industry Immersion Programme and growing employer partnerships, AIMS graduates are entering roles in banking, fintech, advanced analytics, and AI. Named employer partners include Standard Bank, African Bank, FirstRand, FNB, Bidvest Bank, Woolworths, Altron, CSIR, and South32.
In one Standard Bank recruitment cycle, 14 AIMS candidates were interviewed and 11 were selected for roles — an approximate 78% selection rate for interviewees.
