A Community Spanning 42 African Countries

Since 2003, AIMS South Africa has graduated 1,151 students from 42 African countries. Our alumni community reflects the breadth of the continent — from Kenya and Nigeria to Madagascar and Sudan. 35% of our graduates are women, a figure sustained through deliberate investment in access and support. Each placement at AIMS South Africa is matched by approximately 70 applicants who begin the selection process, reflecting strong demand for Africa’s premier mathematical sciences programme.
