AIMS Schools Enrichment Centre
The AIMS Schools Enrichment Centre (AIMSSEC) is an innovative department within AIMS South Africa, with a vision to empower communities through mathematical excellence and equity. We empower teachers and learners throughout South Africa. A team of local, continental, and international professional mathematics educators and alumni come together to work alongside mathematics educators, teachers, and learners at AIMS or one of its partner institutions.

The House of Science is a dynamic and growing department at AIMS South Africa dedicated to advancing science communication, public engagement, and gender equality in STEM academia and research. Launched in 2018, it provides coherence and sustainability to AIMS’s public engagement efforts, empowering young/emerging researchers to engage broader society and increase the visibility and impact of their work. Since 2020, its reach has expanded to postgraduate and early-career researchers in mathematical sciences across South Africa, especially those at Historically Disadvantaged Institutions, strengthening the national mathematical sciences ecosystem and contributing to South Africa’s National System of Innovation and transformation agenda.
